Herald of summer: Schülerferienticket go on sale

From 10 June, schoolchildren can once again buy the Schülerferienticket (school holiday ticket) for Saxony-Anhalt. This allows them to use public transport around the clock throughout the state and in the MDV area during the summer holidays from 24 June to 3 August. The ticket costs 28 euros and is available at all ticket offices.

"The Schülerferienticket is a great way for schoolchildren to explore their favourite destinations in the state for six weeks without having to buy a Deuzschland-Ticket or a season ticket," explains Peter Panitz, Managing Director of Nahverkehrsservice Sachsen-Anhalt GmbH (NASA GmbH). The ticket is also valid in the MDV fare zone outside Saxony-Anhalt and allows travel to Leipzig, for example. Selected stations in Lower Saxony, such as Wolfsburg or Goslar, and Brandenburg are also included. It is even possible to make a single trip to and from Berlin.

The ticket is valid on local trains (not EC, IC, ICE), buses and trams for any number of journeys (except Berlin). The ticket is available to all students up to the age of 22. You can take your bike with you free of charge on trains and many buses in Saxony-Anhalt.
