NASA GmbH Presents Expanded Offer in the 2025 Timetable

NASA GmbH Presents Expanded Offer in the 2025 Timetable

When the timetable changes on December 15 this year, there will be some differences in Saxony-Anhalt. The diesel network in Saxony-Anhalt will then be operated by Regionalverkehre start Deutschland GmbH (start), and there will be a new S-Bahn line between Querfurt and Halle. The capacity of the Berlin - Stendal line is to be increased as early as June 2024. The Minister for Infrastructure and Digitization, Dr. Lydia Hüskens, made the announcement today together with Nahverkehrsservice Sachsen-Anhalt GmbH (NASA GmbH) and DB InfraGO Region Südost.

"Mobility means freedom, and this freedom also includes a real choice of means of transport. We are creating an attractive and convenient service so that people can leave their cars at home and switch to public transport," said Lydia Hüskens today in Magdeburg.

The regional train line currently known as RB78 will in the future operate every hour on the entire route between Querfurt, Mücheln, Braunsbedra, Merseburg and Halle as the S-Bahn S11. This means a significant increase in service, especially on the Querfurt - Mücheln and Merseburg - Halle lines. In addition, it will no longer be necessary to change trains at Merseburg central station. In addition, the S11 will stop at Halle-Ammendorf and Schkopau. Together with the RB25, it will offer daily half-hourly connections to Halle and Merseburg. "We are very pleased to be able to offer commuters an attractive service here and to ensure that they have a real alternative for a more relaxing journey to work with the S-Bahn," said Minister Hüskens at a press conference.

Additional runs are also planned between Stendal and Rathenow, as well as between Burg, Magdeburg and Braunschweig. Regular rail passengers and commuters should take a look at the timetable preview at www.mein-takt.de/2025, where they can check their train and bus connections between February 14 and March 3 and provide feedback to NASA GmbH service planners on where a desired connection cannot be made or where other improvements can be made. This annual participation format captures the needs of riders and helps improve the schedule. Even if not all requests can be met, the feedback from passengers always provides planners with information to create the best possible schedule with the resources available.
