Lutherstadt Eisleben kicks off new series of events in the region

On 9 October, the first regional dialogue, 'Your region. Your Rail', organised by the State of Saxony-Anhalt in cooperation with Deutsche Bahn AG and Abellio Rail Mitteldeutschland, will take place in the station building in Lutherstadt Eisleben. This new event format, which will take place in different locations each time, is aimed at local decision-makers and citizens. It aims to facilitate direct discussion about the prospects and developments of local transport in the region, based on current or future projects. The Lutherstadt has been chosen as the starting point because two construction projects are about to be implemented there: the renovation of the platforms in Eisleben and the Halle–Kassel connection.

Interested citizens will have the opportunity to engage in dialogue with representatives of the state and railway companies. The latter will use this opportunity to present their plans for the future development of regional rail transport and explain how individual projects fit into the bigger picture. In addition to the Eisleben event, further regional dialogues are planned. The second regional dialogue will take place in Stendal in the north of the state later this year.
