Travelling in the region with Regio70

As of June 9, local train passengers in Saxony-Anhalt can use the Regio70 ticket for a one-way trip of up to 70 tariff kilometers for 13.90 euros. This is a pilot project which will initially run until December 13, 2025.
"The Regio70 ticket is positioned between the Hopper ticket and the Regio120 ticket and covers all distances between 50 and 70 tariff kilometers. It's a good way to travel, for example, from Halberstadt to Magdeburg or from Magdeburg to Dessau," says Peter Panitz, Managing Director of Nahverkehrsservice Sachsen-Anhalt GmbH (NASA GmbH), explaining the new fare offer in the Deutschlandtarif1 (D-TARIF), which is valid throughout Saxony-Anhalt. Excluded from this are journeys that take place exclusively within a transport association.
The ticket can be used Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. and all day on weekends and holidays. Up to three children up to the age of 14 can travel on the ticket. The pilot phase is designed to test the ticket's acceptance among passengers, especially new customers. The evaluation will determine whether it will be continued or extended beyond December 2025.
1The Deutschlandtarif is the responsibility of the Deutschlandtarifverbund GmbH. It consists of 69 transport authority organizations and railway companies, which jointly decide on the future of the D-TARIF.
